Steve Ryherd

People often seek financial advice when they feel overwhelmed by complex factors—investment selection, job changes, inheritance, retirement, and reducing tax obligations just to name a few. Complexity is where Steve thrives. He earned multiple engineering degrees in college, including at the University of Nebraska, and was a partner in a consulting firm in the building industry in Atlanta, Georgia where he built his own engineering practice. However, after 7 years and the birth of their first daughter, he and his wife decided to move back to Omaha to be close to family and their Midwest roots.

Steve took the opportunity to assess his own life and goals (much like he does for his clients today) and decided to pursue his long-held passion for personal finance. Steve uses the same problem-solving mindset from engineering to help folks make informed decisions about their goals. Financial planning is based on each client’s answer to the question, “How do you want to spend your time, your energy, and your resources?”

Clients are often surprised by and take comfort in how Steve and his team can take their unique, complex situation and break it down into systematic, achievable steps. By the nature of his past experience, Steve finds himself drawn to working with fellow business owners and those with complex wealth plans from across the country. He enjoys facilitating important discussions with clients and coordinating a team of professionals to execute the client’s vision.

When he is not serving clients, working on projects around the house, or playing with his daughters, Steve loves to travel both near and far. From hiking in Zion National Park to exploring the ancient ruins of Cambodia, there is always a new perspective to be gained when stepping outside of one’s comfort zone.
